details: Introducing the first in a series of bold, singular shirt designs by sound artists, based on visual interpretations of sound and selected by Thomas Bey William Bailey. The first design in this series, by the curator himself, is based on vector imagery inspired by Hans Jenny's experiments with "cymatics": a radical means of sculpting matter with electronic tone generators. A subtly placed Japanese ‘waveform’ text anchors the chaotic design in place.
 
This unique 3-color design (black, purple, fuschia) is printed on high quality "sand"-colored Tultex t-shirts (100% ring-spun cotton), available in sizes  S, M, L and XL (a separate version for girls' fashion tees is also in the works.) Each shirt also comes with a tag bearing its individual number (no more than 75 pieces available in this initial run), and Thomas' personal rubber stamp on special texturized 'op-art' paper.
 
Shirts are available for $14 each (some wholesale inquiries and trades will be considered.) Please include an additional $5 for Priority Mail shipping within the U.S. (2-3 days’ shipping time), or $2.50 for first class shipping (about 1 week shipping time.) All other international locations, please include $8.50 for Priority shipping (expect 1-2 weeks for arrival.) Orders can be placed via Paypal (see link below.) Orders will be packed and shipped the next business day after payment is received. $5 from each purchase will benefit relief efforts following the Japanese earthquake crisis of March 2011.
